Zigfrid von Underbelly of Hoxton

It’s not a secret that Hoxton is full of hidden gems that are not so hidden anymore – they’re everywhere!

Unlike than other places that only recently started popping out like mushrooms after rain… this gem has a history.

Screen Shot 2017-09-02 at 13.27.43Cut long story short, a young blueblood Russian-Polish young man Zigfrid von Underbelly didn’t find interest in following his families footsteps in pharmaceutical business and moved towards the punk underground world to Berlin.

Multitalented as an artist, writer, singer and businessman, and fluent in seven languages, Zigfrid developed his skills and ideas surrounded by displaced beautiful punks and artists from all over the globe.

After the Berlin Wall fell, he migrated to New York, East Village, and then ended up in London – Hoxton. His life at the station in Berlin and the scene it created made him want to create spaces that punks, artists, musicians, IT people and all around cool heads and free thinkers could inhabit.

So, there it is. Zigfrid von Underbelly of Hoxton.108a7473597f4df48b692adc7cffc86c

It offers a lot of different spaces, stretching through two floors. Every inch of it breathes history and originality. A soul. Honest home cooked meals and a wide selection of drinks from near and far.
